Good day! It is almost one week since my last post and now I’m back after of our very enjoyable farewell party of IT4 and IM4. The first and I hope it will be not the last party collaborated by IT and IM. We have spent our farewell party in a very comfortable resort of where Jurry’s lives.

During the gathering, of course of some chit chat there was blogging and some of those who just started their blogs, they have asked on what are the best web hosting to choose from. I’ve said there are plenty but it differs from price to web space and others things that your site may want.

I’ve have suggested to give some try visiting Kaushal Sheth, his post where very interesting especially on Web Hosting. In choosing web hosting I consider peoples opinion and reviews which I think a good way on how to decide for best web hosting needs. So guys, hope you have enjoyed this post and good luck to all. :D

I just got my Internet connection last Saturday powered by Globelines. They informed me that they are having a problem with their internet service in Visayas and Mindanao Network and they‘re very sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s been a week since Globe Network dropped in their service. And up to now they are still trouble shooting it. This evening I did some DSL speed test and guess what? Very disappointing results appear in front of me. My current DOWNLOAD SPEED is 22 kbps which means that I can only download at 2.75 kb per second and my UPLOAD SPEED is 18 kbps which means that I can only upload at 2.25 kb per second. A very disappointing speed that globe has to offer. I can’t believe that I am slower than a DIAL UP users.

Globe is one of the prominent companies here in the Philippines and I heard a lot of negative reviews about their services and with that I am starting to believe on what I had read before. Hope that they will put more actions on their problem now because if this will continue until this coming Saturday I don’t think I deserve this and I will really ask for disconnection or rebate will do.

WORLD’s THINNEST NOTEBOOK. MacBOOK AIR

MacBook Air is ultrathin, ultraportable, and ultra unlike anything else. But you don’t lose inches and pounds overnight. It’s the result of rethinking conventions. Of multiple wireless innovations. And of breakthrough design. With MacBook Air, mobile computing suddenly has a new standard.

MacBook Air is nearly as thin as your index finger. Practically every detail that could be streamlined has been. Yet it still has a 13.3-inch widescreen LED display, full-size keyboard, and large multi-touch trackpad. It’s incomparably portable without the usual ultraportable screen and keyboard compromises.

The incredible thinness of MacBook Air is the result of numerous size- and weight-shaving innovations. From a slimmer hard drive to strategically hidden I/O ports to a lower-profile battery, everything has been considered and reconsidered with thinness in mind. More info at MacBook Air

crypt.HashAlgorithm = "sha1";
crypt.EncodingMode = "hex"

string hash;
hash = crypt.HashStringENC(s);
textBox1.Text += "SHA1:" + "\r\n";
textBox1.Refresh();

I’ve made a poster for the upcoming academic Olympics and Battle of the bands in our school. It’s my first time design a poster which pink is one of the colors that dominates in the whole poster. Unfortunately, I have to redesign it because battle of the band was removed from the list of activities and replaced by other activities. Below is the unedited preview of the poster that I’ve made Movies, Music and Celebrities on the spot

What do you think? Is it bad? I just don’t regularly use pink on my designs but yellow most of time. Hahaha…

I got a problem transferring my files via ftp. My friend gave me a link where I can download ftp software but unfortunately I can’t install, an error message box appears with the following text “illegal function call” I don’t have any idea what does it mean. I’ve been idle for a minute afterwards I google for ftp software that I could use right away. Coincidentally, a link to WinSCP was on the first page of results and I did visit the site and download it.

Amazing, you would not believe this, the file size was just 1.39mb I don’t even have to worry on where will I store the file and another best thing from this software is that it is an executable file, you don’t have to worry on how to install it all you have to do is to double click the icon and presto in an instant you can now access you server via ftp. (Of course you should be able to log in) WinSCP is like a plug and play printer. Download it, run it, use it as easy as that.

Oh before I forgot, thanks again to karlpox of dcwarez… :)

During our break, the only time I had to visit my old blog as well as my new blog which is hosted by www.dcwarez.net. It is the first self hosted blog I have. From that I can now fully edit my blog design from head to foot. And put anything that I want to appear on my design. But as of now, am still looking for a good template that would 100% fit on my new blog.

This time I want to have clean and real travel post. The title of my new blog is Virtual Tour (unspecified event about places). You may visit it 10 days from now because am still configuring it so that readers will have a good time while exploring my new blog.

Thanks to karlpox of dcwarez! Yah! :)

 My EON Cyber Account for Paypal

At last, I got my EON card last Friday at the Union Bank. It was a time consuming process. When I arrived, the place was not that crowded but the service wasn’t that quick may be they are lacking of employees to accommodate their customers or may be they don’t usually have had customers like last Friday. I talked to the teller then she asked me to present two valid ID’s and I should photocopy it before they will release my EON Card. But before that they let me fill up some papers and pay some amount, it is like a TOA and I should sign it as a proof that I understand and received it without any damages found on my EON Card.

After all the process they advice me that my EON Card will be activated 10 days after I received it. Apparently I can start use my card this coming November 26, 2007 and it is quite soon. And I should call it for celebration (Yepey!), in addition to what has been said withdrawal must be in bulk mode because service charge is in dollar rates and it will cost me a lot. Got that?! Grrrrr! lol.
