November 11, 2007 is the date. Assembly time: 6:00 – 7:00 A.M., Place: UIC Main Lobby. Very short information for the Student Council but it doesn’t matter. Honestly, I was late and I did arrive around 7:30 A.M. what good example (lol). Still, I just got lucky; the referring host of the activity had moved it to 8:00 A.M. (see how lucky I am) which is the Community Development Service of the University. It was an environment project of the university which is channeled to the student council, the executive board and the legislative board. This time the ayala young leaders’ alliance mindanao chapter joined us in this venture.
The attendance was good, executive members were all present and the legislative members just got the average list. We went to the CDS Project Area at the Madapo Hills, Davao City. The night before the activity was not good because it was raining by that time and what to expect on the following day, a muddy and soft land to walk for the whole duration of the activity. In addition to what has been said, the participants here are all leaders in our university and the output was very impressive. The tree planting was done very quickly and it’s maybe the initiative of everybody to work it fast. Extra points for resting period! Yepey!
After the digging and planting of seedlings, we went back up to the center and of course as what we are all expecting, SNACKS! (lol) it was just a simple break, sandwich and water(see how simple.) and a little chit-chat and rest at the same time. Right after that some legislators left, followed by the staff and lastly, us, the executive board went back to the UIC Main lobby to finish our meeting for the upcoming activities for this 2nd semester. Thank you Jopet(AYLC) for the free ride.
Protect the nature, for the nature will protect us!
