I’ve made a poster for the upcoming academic Olympics and Battle of the bands in our school. It’s my first time design a poster which pink is one of the colors that dominates in the whole poster. Unfortunately, I have to redesign it because battle of the band was removed from the list of activities and replaced by other activities. Below is the unedited preview of the poster that I’ve made

What do you think? Is it bad? I just don’t regularly use pink on my designs but yellow most of time. Hahaha…

In the interest of maintaining group harmony, you’d be wise to encourage compromise — usually. But today, the level of inefficiency and apathy will prove to be beyond saving. When this becomes clear, you should step up and take control. Point people in the right direction, give them an objective, and delegate responsibilities. While browsing around the web I got to this link named movable type. I don’t actually know this one until I read a piece of it from their site. I think it’s like wordpress but I haven’t tried it yet. I did explore the site and it looks very similar from wordpress. I think it offers a good and reliable publishing platform. Movable type like wordpress it is an open source platform a product of six apart.

System requirements are not that bad. Below is the breakdown:

Hardware

The specific requirements for Movable Type vary greatly depending upon the specific traffic and usage patterns being planned for. However, the minimum recommended setup includes a single machine with:

·         1 GHz CPU;

·         512 MB RAM;

·         100 MB of available disk space for the application and dependencies.

Typically if the hardware you plan on using was purchased within the last three or four years, it should meet these minimum requirements.

Note on Disk Space: The application itself may require up to 20 MB of disk space. Please note however that this does not include the disk space required for your published blog content. The amount of disk space required for your published content will depend both on the number of blogs you deploy and the amount of data published on each blog.

I wonder how I can get my pagerank back. I’ve spent time on this and the result is the discovery of RealRank.

The problem with Google PageRank is that it is both self serving and irrelevant to actual traffic and influence. The arbitrary and unpredictable nature of this ranking system has left both bloggers and advertisers longing for accurate statistical data since long before PayPerPost. Unfortunately, there are few options out there when it comes to determining the value of a blog. While sites like Alexa attempt to estimate traffic they are inaccurate and do a terrible job when it comes to blogs with smaller niche audiences.

I believe we have a solution and that solution is RealRank. RealRank data is gathered from the IZEA Toolkit “ITK” (formerly PPP Tools). It is a piece of javascript that many of you already have and those outside of PPP will be able to get from a separate site without joining PPP or SocialSpark. ITK gathers REAL traffic information, much like your analytics platform and ranks users based on their standing within the network. The formula is relatively simple.

70% weighted towards visitors per day
20% weighted towards amount of ACTIVE inbound links per day
10% weighted towards pageviews per day

We are currently working on implementing RealRank inside of the PPP platform next week. The public site will be up within two weeks. I am excited to be able to finally provide bloggers and advertisers with a measuring stick that actually means something.

As of now, I don’t actually understand how this RealRank works and how accurate it is. I’m just waiting that someday there will be a standard thing for this. What could it be? This could be the one, the real thing. RealRank. Lol

You might ask what is Robot.txt? try to google for it. He’ll surely answer you. Anyway I read an article with regards to invalidated robots.txt and may be your site is one of it.

The web crawling Googlebot may find a forgotten line in robots.txt that causes it to de-index a site from the search engine.Webmasters welcome being dropped out of Google about as much as they enjoy flossing with barbed wire. Making it easier for Google to do that would be anathema to being a webmaster. Why willingly exclude one’s site from Google?

That could happen with an unvalidated robots.txt file. Robots.txt allows webmasters to provide standing instructions to visiting spiders, which contributes to having a site indexed faster and more accurately.

What’s with Google? Are they trying to cut us off?

Despite of lots of work to do I don’t understand I can still afford to roam around. Hehehe. Last Friday, we had celebrated the birthday of mona, one of my youngster classmate (lol). The plan was to meet in front of our school gate, 5 in the afternoon. Due to some reasons Arnold, Sarah, my girlfriend and I can’t be there on time and we just had to go after them. Around 8 PM Arnold and Sarah arrived at grace’s house while grace was busy packing her things and I busy configuring my Adsense layout on my new blog (lol).

We when arrive there, some of my classmates were busy preparing the dinner and of course us waiting for dinner. Hahaha…thank you for chairman and bitok the food taste very good and I really like the taste of the Kinilaw and Pancit. Right after the eating session, drinking session follows (hmmm…). It was a very long drinking session and I think everyone just got their heads up. Early in the morning, my girlfriend and I left earlier for we both wanted to lie down on our own beds.

I slept from 8am up to 6pm, wow sleeping marathon! I almost forgot that I have to attend on my high school classmate’s birthday and he was expecting me to be there. I feel so tired and sleepy but I have to get up and fix myself. Around 6:30 pm, Ryan called me up and he’s looking for me. Hahaha…I said: I’m on my way well in fact I’m on my way to brush my hair. Hehehe…When I arrived there I feel nervous because there were plenty of guest luckily I saw my high school classmates and it was kinda HS mini-reunion. I felt like I was on my high school days chatting around. Everyone did change, physically of course but the way they talked and see life in perspective views just the same especially NLT same old ****** I just don’t understand.

The talking was the very long period.  Asking how’s life after all the ups and downs, everyone shared a lot and I have seen them how they really grew up out from their own experiences after we had separated. It’s very interesting to talked about life did we changed as time passed us by. And I have learned a lot from them; of course we both miss the time when we were at HS. They planned to drink unfortunately I have to leave early because I have a lot of things to finish. So I stayed a little more, they drink. And we continued to talk on endless things just like our HS days.

Around 9:30 PM, Joseph and I had left as what luck have it we have the same reason why we have to leave early. The time spent on the two birthdays was worth consumed.

The remaining days before Christmas must be used on my thesis and I should double my effort so that can achieve my goals in our thesis. More birthdays have to come for both Mona and Ryan.

I still remember I was 11 years old my ninong brought me there together with his wife; it was my first time in that resort and we went there for night swimming only. The pool was great and it was my first time to swam on a pool that has a light underneath. In short I’m newbie kid out there.

Just this November, we had an activity for three days and two nights on that place. Actually, it was my first time to stay there for a long period of time. In the morning I stroll around the premises to see if there’s an improvement and guess what? The pool is still the same nothing’s change except for the landscape on the side hall. I was not that satisfied with their services and facilities and maybe due to aged materials. Hahaha.

And it will rate the place without any hesitation I will give 4/10; I think they should try to improve their rooms and especially their bathrooms because it looks unclean and unmaintained by the management. Before I forgot, they should try to check their beds; it seems to be so antique that in an instant it will break apart just like what happened on as while we were there. not good!

Recently I joined this biggest advertising media in Europe which is Bloggerwave. They give opportunities for bloggers like me to earn extra income while blogging and of course I should do my part also to get what is just right.  This network is very artistic because their site is very trendy and my eyes just can’t help it to watch over and over again. The navigation and user friendliness of the site, you will notice it’s on their priority list.

A friend introduce this media on me, he said “why don’t you try this new discovery of mine you got nothing to lose.” So I tried I’ve submitted my blog and luckily they enlisted me into their numerous bloggers and what should I say? Of course, thank God for it is a new venue for me to earn extra while I enjoy my blogging experience.

I got a problem transferring my files via ftp. My friend gave me a link where I can download ftp software but unfortunately I can’t install, an error message box appears with the following text “illegal function call” I don’t have any idea what does it mean. I’ve been idle for a minute afterwards I google for ftp software that I could use right away. Coincidentally, a link to WinSCP was on the first page of results and I did visit the site and download it.

Amazing, you would not believe this, the file size was just 1.39mb I don’t even have to worry on where will I store the file and another best thing from this software is that it is an executable file, you don’t have to worry on how to install it all you have to do is to double click the icon and presto in an instant you can now access you server via ftp. (Of course you should be able to log in) WinSCP is like a plug and play printer. Download it, run it, use it as easy as that.
