2007 ACM ASIA Programmming Contest Singapore

2007 ACM ASIA Programming Contest Singapore

The most awaited programming contest. Many have expectations and so do I. What I mean here is the ACM ASIA International Collegiate Programming Contest which is the biggest ever programming contest which will be held this time in the National University of Singapore on December 13-14, 2007.

Recently, Philippines conducted a 1^st Philippine National Inter-collegiate Programming Contest which was done last October 7, 2007 at the DLSU Canlubang. It was a very successful contest, many colleges and universities that has participated the said event. And what would I expect? (lol) If you’re asking for the winners, below is the official result:

On who’s gonna bring home the world’s title of ACM 2007 Asia’s Champion…wahahaha…Me, I don’t have. But I’m wishing hard that this time hopefully Philippines could make it to TOP 10….Even though it is not coming from our university (:D) but at least the team is still composed of Filipino students. I know it’s pretty damn hard to make it that far but who knows maybe the luck of today will fall on us. (lol) For the Teams that will represent Philippines, Good luck and God bless you all!

My 1st Page Rank

Yepeeeeyyyyyy!!!! At last, the most awaited moment of life (lol)….I was about to give in, I thought I will never gain any page ranks because every time I log and check my page rank it always like this. THE PAGE RANK FOR http://rgb.blogsome.com is: PR n/a….what does it mean??? No hope?! It is always like that for almost 2 months….and it was so frustrating, really. But this time, it’s a call for celebration! But I don’t think I can, I just recently recover from my fever (a two day fever)…What am I doing? Blogging? Yes, I am! Because I feel so bored, lying down on my bed or on sofa and watch TV or DR. House. And I don’t think it will help me to get better….It’s making me so weak, I need some action here (blogging. lol)….Going back to my page rank, PR4 wasn’t my first expectation to earn, imagine from N/A to PR4..what a big achievement and it really motivates me to blog more because somehow I know that there are mobs out there who’s frequently visiting my blog and waiting for any updates about me.(lol)hahahaha…..

I don’t have any golly idea on how to earn high page ranks. All I know is that I need to post and tell the online people that I have a blog and if they have time just visit mine….I think this will really help me to fully recover from my fever….mindset helps!

PhilNITS Certification Exam

Judgment day! Last Sunday I took this examination which is simultaneously with the other countries here in Asia. (e.g. Malaysia, Taiwan and I’m not pretty sure about this. lol). Can’t believe it first but why should I care it won’t help me to get high grades..hahahaha…..The examination is divided into two parts which is, in the morning is the Fundamentals of Information Technology and Engineering and in the later part is the programming C/C++ and JAVA but it’s up to you on which language you prefer to answer. And that’s the coverage for the PhilNITS Examination.

The morning session starts at 9:30 AM but all examinees are requested to be at the testing area 1 hour before the said exam and just what? 9:15 is the time when I arrived there in the testing area…wahahaha….then minutes after, all of the examinees were called to fall in line to check if everything is in order. I was in the 7th row, 1st column (amazing!). Instructions were given to us and when the time I open the booklet to see what’s inside (*sigh*)…Nosebleed, my stomach was upset! just kidding!…It was a very IQ testing of what I really understand about IT Fundamentals. Shocks, I wasn’t prepared?! But just got my luck because some of the questions are coming from Data Communications, Database Management System (strong foundation huh! lol) and some Logics too….that’s all for the morning part of the exam. After that we were given a 1 hour break to take our lunch.

In the afternoon part, Programming Dude! During this part I feel so weak because of my nose allergy (running nose, my eyes swelling more, more and more)….it is consist of 9 questions which is every questions has sub-questions(so dumb, lol)….there was logic, database, network administration and the last two were C/C++ and JAVA. As I said earlier it’s up to you on what language would you prefer to answer(note: problems from C/C++ is different from JAVA)….I don’t have strong foundation on JAVA so I choose C++ and if you’re familiar with SODUKO you’ll be able to solve it! That’s All…

I hope I will pass the exam (wishful thinking!)….and also to other UICian’s who take the exam….

House, TV Series. My 1st move

HOUSE, an innovative take on the medical drama, solves mysteries where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.

DR. GREGORY HOUSE (Hugh Laurie) is devoid of bedside manner and wouldn’t even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Dealing with his own constant physical pain, he uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. While his behavior can border on antisocial, House is a brilliant diagnostician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts afford him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he thrives on the challenge of solving medical puzzles in order to save lives….So much information…..wahhahaha

Actually, I haven’t watched this tv series but I have a plan to watch it tomorrow morning. Just around our school, it is most likely word of a mouth(wossshhhh)…Everytime I tried to talk with other students and faculty they both do say it is a very cool and entertaining tv series to see…wahahahaha…..What would you expect from me? apparently it is coming out from their mouth that I should not miss to watch this, and they also added that if I want more cool things to see, all I have to do is to spare a time to witness this new tv series (probably tomorrow)….I just can’t wait to watch this….As of now, all I have is a DVD Copy of season 1 with 23 episodes(what?)…..This is the next big thing to do…hehehehe….Maybe after I’ll watched some few episodes tomorow I will possibly post here my experience…

Gotta go. Tomorrow is my 1st move. House.

Prison Break Season 3. Take a bow!

Lincoln Burrows, Michale Scofield, Fernando Sucre, Alex Mahone, Theodore Bagwell, Brad Bellick, Sara Tencredi…Familiar??? The names that I have stated here are the characters that is present from season 1 up to season 3…..I’ve watched the season 3 last monday and guess what??? It feels like watching season 1….wahahahaha…..most likely, because the setting of the season 3 is just like the PBS1…He got jailed in then trying to excape again but from different prison and reason. This time he will escape for a reason, he will escape together with mr. whisler(i hope my spelling is right. lol)…..then eventually, there are so many surprises wrapping around the season 3, things that is unexpected (*sigh*)….

The people up there in the picture are the common characters that you will seeing for the whole episode…new faces, new roles, new place and new expectations…After seeing this series, possibly you will gonna give a bow for it. You should not miss to watch this one.

Pinoy Big Brother CE2. 1st Nomination

Hmmmm….The pinoy big brother celebrity edtion have 3 female celebs that has been nominated for the first time. These 3 pretty girls are equally hot(lolz ????)..It seems to be unfair for both Leigh and Jen, if one get nominated automatically the both of them get nominated, same as getting evicted(the very worst thing).And for Megan Lynne Young the Fil-American babe it’s all her fault why she was nominated….(peace)….Jen if you’ll gonna have a chance to stay more in house do good and feel comfortable with leigh(she sucks)….you just don’t have the luck of being paired with Leigh(lolz)…..As what I have noticed lately this edition seems to be very fabricated compared to the previous edition…..wahahahhaha……so much for that…

A great phrase to read. It looks like very motivating, try say it slowly everytime you have hard times. For me, it’s like a lifting words that tells me not to stop and fight for what I have started. Even though failures continues to slap on me…i’ll just remember that when everytime is not okey then it is not the end. lolz……

And you? what’s your secret that up to now, whenever you encountered hard times you’ll still able to continue and finish what you have started? It would be so great if you’ll gonna share it here, it may inspire or change the perception of other’s while encountering hard times.
